I have always been interested in Affiliate Internet Marketing and searched high and low for the best affiliate programs.

Affiliate Marketing Definition
You could define an affiliate program as a type partnership with an online trader such as online shop or perhaps, a high street market.
Most people would recognise an online trader in the form of a Website that sells physical or software products and/or services.

This is probably quite similar to the kind of relationship that existed between a travelling salesman in old times who would have earned a commission for sales of a product or service to a client they found. In today’s world this kind of relationship is still promoted by some insurance companies that don’t actually pay their representatives except in the commissions they earn from the people they sell, renew or promote policies to. In today’s world I think this is an unscrupulous business practice.
When you join an Affiliate Network you will often have an Affiliate Manager who is responsible for managing your affiliate account and who you can contact for help and advice.
The Affiliate Manager is responsible for managing the affiliate program and the relationship between Affiliate (or Publisher) and Advertiser (or product/service Merchant).

You will often find a link at the bottom of a web page with a link to ‘affiliate‘ or ‘affiliates‘ which may take you directly to a page outlining the affiliate program operated, the online affiliate program conditions, the procedure for application and the affiliate income possibilities.

There is a mountain of information about affiliate marketing and how to make the best of the affiliate income opportunities and wide diversity of income affiliate programs available on the internet and it certainly makes sense to read some of it to become familiar with the affiliate marketing basics. It makes sense to learn from those who have been very successful in the past. With just a little exploration, it won’t take you long to find an affiliate site with your top affiliate programs residual income opportunities.
